Siamese-twin porphyrin: a pyrazole-based expanded porphyrin providing a bimetallic cavity.

چکیده
Expanded porphyrins are synthetic analogues of porphyrins consisting of at least 17 atoms in a cyclic conjugated framework that contains at least three pyrrole or pyrrole-like heterocyclic subunits. These macrocyclic systems have aroused great interest as near-IR-absorbing or -emitting chromophores and as two-photon dyes; their cavities are large enough to function as anion-recognition systems, and they may exhibit intriguing conformations. Hexaphyrin 1 is a representative expanded porphyrin that exists in a number of conformations and oxidation states, capable of forming a variety of monoand bimetallic complexes, including the formation of M bius aromatic systems.

Cofacial porphyrin assemblies have attracted great attention over the past several decades due to their unusual photophysical properties, a coordination environment that can accommodate two or more metal centers, and structural rigidity. Of particular interest to us is the design of assemblies suitable for applications involving molecular recognition and catalysis. In such cases, manipulating t...

A simple, highly sensitive, accurate and selective method for determination of trace amounts of Pb(II) in water samples is presented. A novel Graphene oxide with covalently linked porphyrin solid-phase extraction adsorbent was synthesized by covalently linked porphyrin onto the surfaces of graphite oxides. The stability of a chemically (GO-H2P) especially in concentrated hydrochloric acid was s...

The synthesis and catalytic properties of ditopic mono-pincer-mono-porphyrin complexes were investigated. The statistical Adler condensation reaction of 3,5-bis(methoxymethyl)-4-bromo-benzaldehyde, p-tolylaldehyde, and pyrrole, furnished an AB(3)-type tetraphenylporphyrin, containing three meso-p-tolyl groups and one meso-3,5-bis(methoxymethyl)-4-bromophenyl group. This material was converted i...
متن کاملSpontaneous Tl(I)-to-Tl(III) oxidation in dynamic heterobimetallic Hg(II)/Tl(I) porphyrin complexes.
Strapped heterobimetallic Hg(II)/Tl(I) porphyrin complexes, with both metal ions bridged by the N-core in a dynamic way, undergo spontaneous Tl(I)-to-Tl(III) oxidation leading to a mono-Tl(III) complex and a mixed valence Tl(I)/Tl(III) bimetallic complex. It provides a new opportunity to tune metal ion translocations in bimetallic porphyrin systems.

In the present work, the interaction of three water soluble porphyrins, tetra (p-trimethyle) ammoniumphenyl porphyrin iodide (TAPP) as a cationic porphyrin, tetra sodium meso-tetrakis (p-sulphonatophenyle) porphyrin (TSPP) as an anionic porphyrin and manganese tetrakis (p-sulphonato phenyl)porphinato acetate (MnTSPP) as a metal porphyrin, with DNA have been studied by isothermaltitration microc...
